Obligations of the Landlord
The obligations of a landlord are to:
- Make the premises available for occupation at the beginning of the tenancy.
- Not disturb the tenant's possession and peaceful enjoyment of the premises.
- Serve the tenant with a notice of landlord within seven days of the tenancy beginning.
- Maintain the premises in good repair in compliance with all building, health, fire, and safety standards.
- Perform any other obligations assigned to the landlord by the tenancy agreement.

Obligations of the Tenant
The obligations of a tenant are to:
- Be considerate of other tenants.
- Ensure that they do not endanger other tenants.
- Not perform illegal acts or conduct illegal business on the premises (e.g. drug activity).
- Keep the premises reasonably clean.
- Prevent damages to the premises and/or common property of the premises. Tenants are held responsible for their visitors should they cause damage.
- Not interfere in the rights of the landlord.
- Move out when the rental agreement ends.
